The restaurant is towards the back. I've tried it twice now and I definitely approve. The prices are lower than or even to most Korean restaurants around, but the portions are larger than most. I tried the spicy stir-fried pork (제육볶음) the first time and spicy BBQ pork (돼지불고기) the second time. Each one is enough for 2 (2인분), if not shareable for 3. The taste is what I'd expect in Korea, but these are both very sauce-heavy (especially the stir-fried pork), moreso than most of the time I've had either dish in Korea. They taste great to me, though. The K-style California roll (김밥/gimbap) is cheaper here than I've seen at other K-restaurants in Mn, but still more expensive (2x here.. 3x at other places) than they'd be in Korea. The taste is pretty average for the gimbap. The flavor between the two pork dishes is slight. A little more spicy in the stir-fried pork (which includes more vegetables - the main difference between the two). Neither one should be overwhelmingly spicy for most people. As for the grocery store (마트), it's a little bit bigger than a couple other K-grocery stores I've been to around the cities. Nice instant noodle and soy sauce selection.
The deli here is amazing and such a vibe. The workers are so kind and the food is high quality and they have huge portions we had plenty for a second meal in leftovers! YUM! The grocery store portion does have great options but very slightly higher prices compared to several other asian grocery stores I have visited.
I love the kimbap at the register but make sure you get there early they sell out fast! the selection is great and they have a restaurant in the back that is amazing. there is homemade kimchi and seasoned condiments, the seasoned garlic stem is my favorite. lots of interesting sweets too.
I thought I was in the wrong place. Tucked in the left back of the market and deli is one the best Korean restaurants in Minnesota. Stumbled upon this place, visiting Harbor Freight. My daughter and I went in, and there it was the secret diner. I had the Bibimbap and my daughter the Stone Bowl Rice both absolutely the best I have ever had. All I can say is go there you will thank me.
You will find next to a harbor freight. The restaurant is in the back of the asian grocery store. Pretty easy to find once you are inside. There is plenty of parking in the lot. The establishment itself isn't anything to brag about but once you try the food it really won't matter. I ordered the #9 (beef dish also known as bulgogi) and #15 (japchae). #9 comes with white rice. Both of the dishes were so delicious! The portions are large. Everything was seasoned perfectly and cooked quick. I got my food to go but there are some tables for dining in if you please. The dishes come with a small box of side as well which are i believe are fish cake strips possibly, bean sprouts that are Marinated and kimchi. All and all, the food is great! If you haven't tried korean food, i recommend trying this place out!
Restaurant inside has great bibimbap. Fantastic fresh banchan selection including fresh kimchi, soy lotus roots, and seasoned radish. Incredible selection of Korean silverware and cookware. Always clean and well stocked.
